Thanks to the technological support provided by Outland Gate Innovations, we are proud to be able to take you to this historic village, at a time where it is just starting to be shaped into the economic powerhouse it would eventually become.
As you step through the gates, you become part of the village story. Wander among craftspeople, merchants, and performers who bring the village to life, each adding their own spark to the history and character of this place.

Our Story
On a long drive home in 2023, after visiting the Ohio Renaissance Festival, the question was asked “Why doesn’t the Maritimes have a renfaire?” That question became the spark that led to our first attempt at building something real: The Viking Feast Day.
As we worked to realize the vision of that event, we suffered several setbacks, the worst being the loss of our event site close to when the event was planned in 2024.
After that first season, our founder went back to the drawing board, and came to the conclusion that in order to build something real, we needed to actually be able to build something real.
In 2025, he worked to secure a permanent site, eventually settling on a beautiful property just outside Harcourt, NB. Through the second half of the year, our team worked hard, through rain, snow, relentless heat, and other challenges, to shape the outline of what will become the village of Stillwater.
This year, we finally get to start building properly, to pull the shape of the village into existence, so that we can host our first event, the founding Stillwater Market days.
We have great plans for this year, and many to come, and as Canada’s first permanent Renaissance Faire village, we’re excited for you to take a walk in the forest, and visit us!
